why cant i sell my stuff?

Ok, so I installed COP to get some fresh ideas for TK and maybe steal a texture or two... Anyway, after getting bored after about 5 mins if this games lame gameplay I decided to go randomly kill some things. As a result I now have a crapload of weapons an stuff I want to cash in on, but how? The bartender won't let me sell them to him, nor will Nimble, and that guy Owl won't let me either.. Anyone?

From what I remember you can't sell to the bartender etc. Just the guy upstairs that can give you quests along with buying weps, ammo and all that from him. But you need to repair them first to sell.

What the hell? I have to repair EVERY weapon I pick up before I sell it? Thats gay with a capitol GAY.

Its realistic in some parts. I mean who would want to buy a broken gun?

Its the zone, traders would buy any and all guns, then fix them up from other guns. Not realistic at all. I'm not liking COP one bit

Why would traders dirty their hands in repairing when they have a mechanic not far away?

Makes the game feel harder to me anyway in finding ways to earn money.

You adjust your gameplay, and only pick up salable arms. It doesn't take long to figure out which are keepers and which are not.

Thats just it, all the weapons I picked up were about 50% worn at most, still usable - in real life. A way to look at things is lets say somebody in america sells their handgun or trades it in, you don't get the shopkeeper saying "have you had it overhauled?" Its the weapons dealers JOB to do maintinence on firearms.

In CoP you will also lose money if you repair a weapon that is too crapped out. If you can be bothered, you can travel to Pripyat with a gargantuan load from Z or J and have it repaired for free and then travel back to sell. Nope, no trader in Pripyat itself
