Quality vids as usual balious B-) those freezes are a real enigma. I've never had spawn lag to the degree you have got it in some of those vids. I'm almost finished with some more beta work you may want to try out as it should reduce lag for those of us who aren't amongst the few who have quad core CPUs and 4GB or more of RAM.

That work will get done when I'm finished with all the other areas. Anyone whos good with the all.spawn don't be shy in stepping forward I have all the spawn coordinates and what spawns they just need adding to the all.spawn.

Thanks guys.
I give it a try when you finished with it ket. Those freezes are a tiny annoying me. I have a Quad Core but only 2GB of Memory.

Here is Part 15: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytrgAof4FY4

Also how long does it take you guys to normally load into a game? It is properly due to having everything on max and not having more then 2GB memory and all but it takes about 3 minutes for my game to load a new map.

For me starting a entirely new game and waiting for everything to load takes about 2 mins, when ingame and simply switching to amother map about 30 seconds. Remember X-Ray is very sensitive to a lot of things so shut down any crap that automatically starts with windows, and of course OCing your CPU will give a huge boost in stalker as it relies on that a lot more than the GPU.

ED - RIP Wolf. May the zone pay dearly for taking you from us :( Oh, and if somebody can tell me how to add a deposit all button I'll put one in.

After the money I've spent, my game loads really fast.
KET...I forgot but the interest is still there. What I've played so far was fun.

Thanks guys. Was wondering if waiting around 3 minutes was too long and it seems not to so im glad about that

Poor Wolf :mozilla_frown: Tolik himself will get a funeral someday. Along with any other stalkers that I like.

Sounds exciting. I may do a lets play of the newer version too if it really is that different :D

Also just as a quick side note i be uploading less videos for a week or two. Mainly so I can finish recording a few other games to keep me going. But right after that I be doing non-stop stalker gaming videos :D well until I run out of space and need to fit it all into parts and either upload and delete or upload and put on disk to get off my comp :mozilla_wink:

3 mins is a little long. I thought 2 mins was about right for a brand new game but I over-estimated, it took my comp about 1 min for a brand new game to set itself up, map loads remain around 20-30secs. I promise to everybody just as soon as I iron out the last remaining kinks the new beta will be made available. From there I will work on the all.spawn which I will release as a patch to bring the beta up to final release version.

New beta is almost ready guys. Lots of polishing yet again in the new beta. Its not required to start a new game with this beta but its a good idea otherwise some performance changes I've made may not work properly or at all. With the release of the next beta that SHOULD mark all the polishing that needs to be done and it'll be time to start work on the all.spawn. If I don't forget, I'll throw in a few "surprises" for players :D

Yep well worth downloading the new beta to get some additional fixes, additions, and pretty stuffs even without starting a new game. One of the more noticable changes is for the bullet ballistics, "spread" from assault rifles and buckshot isn't so rediculous now and is probably about right.

The new beta I've just completed :D Its being archived and uploaded now. I made some last minute changes to some scripts which I haven't tested, but it all should be fine. While the archiving does its thing I'll watch the vid :-bd

BTW, my son just built his first rig, with a little help and guidance from me. As soon as he's comfortable that all his old files (XP rig) have been saved over to his new one, I'll be building a rig worthy of KET (or NEWSA!).

So far, I'm impressed with his. Fastest XP install (pre 7 upgrade install) evar. Installing XP, then upgrading to 7 took less time than our old rigs did to install XP. Sweet!

Damn thats bad, pitch black while he has the good NV to flick on.. unfair isn't it? :p At least you haven't fell victim to what I have yet.. because bullet ballistics are much more realistic now I've even had a lowly zombie shoot the crap out of me and own me :ymdevil: Bastard was way below me on a lower level as I was climbing some stairs, never saw him coming. AP ammo is really does make any enemy deadly now. The new beta should be uploaded tomorrow sometime, I found a level changer bug thats not fatal, but its damn strange and totally odd so I wanna fix it.
