Mercenaries Wars

Ok, my small little side project, basicaly, you start off at a camp, with the general, you are in command of making strategic movements, those of which are made via the Dialogs on the Merc General.

So you can go up to him and say "id like to order some troops to attack" "where" he will say, from a list of map areas you then choose, after he will ask "where abouts in xxxxx?" (xxxx area name), you then say the place, and a Merc Squad will start attacking there, its still a small idea, which i plan to grow on, im making progress, already got a little bit of cordon done dialog wise, havent done the spawns yet, what you think?

Seems like faction commander has made you think. I like the idea alot.

I will play it when it comes out and I reinstalled stalker.

You could make it so that you can mark your current position on the map by some kind of pseudo-hotkey or special new item in inventory. There could be a dialog for entering descriptions for these locations like in the AMK GPS marker dialog.
When you talk to the commander the marked locations would be selectable in the dialogs.

You could have different types of locations: positions where enemy should be engaged, ambush locations or defensive and sniper locations. Probably others as well.

The only thing that concerns me is getting the troops out there. Maybe it is possible to spawn a smart terrain in the selected area and spawn some NPCs on an adjacent level and assign them to that terrain...?

Rocket launcher x2
A whole load of greandes
Flamethrower (I demand one to be made by someone I just want one X( )
Would shotguns count as being used as main weps if they dont have to take out helicopters, tanks etc? If so then them too :)

Wait how big are these squads? :-"

Theres already a flamethrower mod. :P

Squads will be between 3-6, using Random math in the script, its random, althought might make a option to chose squad size. what you think?

Ok small mod description:

You start off at the major outpost for your faction, which is Mercs' unless i make a unique one, which i might just do, anyway, you start off, and you have some starting funds, with them, you can buy a squad or 2, and take over certain places, you can order in some Weapons and ammo, you can ever secure a lift to a certain place in the zone, the whole zone is opened up, so its freeplay from start, after awhile, you get wages, and you also can keep expanding with your faction, whilst fighting off the other factions.

After awhile, you will have to set up forward bases across the zone, and capture resource points, and once a forward base is secured, all new squads will spawn from their, instead of being spawned all the way back at main outpost, tactics and strategy comes into play, as you have to think about each move, as it could be detrimental to your plans, and a false move, could put your faction in a bad posistion.

You earn money, by doing side missions, or by raiding other factions, all can gain you resources, and maybe some new recruits.

I have alot more to make and plan out, please leave some feedback.

And no Infested City hasnt been abandoned, its just on hold, until i can sort alot of stuff out, hope you understand, anyway please leave ideas and feedback.
