Hey Guys, a little update on the developments side: I'm preparing a patch that'll be ready possibly next week. I have removed the NPC named Doctor (the trader) still remaining from the original SIMBION who appears in Monolith HQ basement upon a condition being met. He was known to crash the game and keeping him by finding a useful reason for his existance while working on repairing him proved to be unnecessary due to that I've already enabled all available Level Changers in the game after the successful completion of Sakharov mission. You know, the "Turn off the Emissions" mission, so we don't need the level changer that may be received from him at the end stages of the game.
The same goes for the NPC named Sak, too.
Until then please stay away from the Doc. :)
I've also made re-adjustments on the groundshake animation and effects in NPP, they are small yet noticeable; provides a better reflection of dizziness to be felt after the shocks, but not like being drunk, it's within a good measure. :)

Some issues that were reported to have been seen by some players in regard to Hunters community have been resolved. The crashes that were seen when trying to speak with some Hunters are no longer seen.

Some other, rather small, bug fixes also done.
Also some items and armours values and prices, as well as their availability conditions reworked.

More translations are being added.

The patch will take the mod from 2.4 to version 2.4.1

======
This is enough for tomorrow, now a few tips for today:

NPP is not a walk in the park, as some-well known, well-established players have acklowledged so.
There are now more of the highest ranking enemy NPCs than other ranks and the highest ranking enemy NPCs carry FN2000NW SPXs loaded with .45 Uranium-tipped magnums and and uranium-tipped missiles. And you are their target. Some NPCs, scattered around in NPP general, carry Nite6-MLSP Multi-Missile launcher which fires even more powerful uranium-tipped missiles. So, walk carefully. :D

You can jump onto the ground though, if things get too tough, there is no radiation on NPP grounds.

Also: as mentioned in the version 2.4 features, the Level Changer between Army Warehouses and Red Forest now has been enabled to work both ways. So you do not need to take the changer at BS situated next to Radar Antennas.

Well, I'll add more tips later. See you all.

Thanks :D

Well, actually I had posted these photo links on GSC forum just before it was taken into maintenance, but as I believe no one has managed to see them yet, so I'm posting them here as well.

Pictures taken during a stroll in NPP grounds at sunset time (great time to be there) while fighting with Monoliths. There is no radiation on the grounds, so taking a walking route instead of teleporting from roof to roof is also possible.

The game offered me some breath-taking visuals, I tried to capture them as much as I could through the camera of "Windows" :D

Here are the links:

This is not the ground level, but looked good, too:

Also. two interesting ones from other parts:

Bar area (Rostok) has been occupied by Freedom! These are Freedom soldiers standing guard at the Southern checkpoint of Rostok:

And, old friend Fox in Garbage helping Duty fight off the bandits:

Feel free to post your photos as you have been doing on GSC Forums. I'll be continuing to collect the PDA stats pictures for the "High-Kill Standing Corner" (section is in construction, will be ready in a matter of days) in our mod's website, as well as pictures of downed choppers and blown-up APCs. :D

Nothing much realy, I like to download mods and then alter them a bit.

Make em look better and sound better to, I aint a good modder like you guys are. I am still learning...very slowly.

It keeps me busy. :)

I like playtesting mods to, I enjoyed playtesting the Priboi mod that was cool.

I am out of work at the moment as it were, if any one needs a playtester then let me know.

Got lots of free time available.

Edit:Sorry for being offtopic.

Ah well i dont class myself as a good modder, i just dont class myself as a bad one. :D being serious though im not greatest at modding but i am quite adequate at it.

Nightwatch helps me and Fatrap has helped me quite alot in the past but atm i seem to be pretty fine on the modding aspect theres bound to be things i cant do but i can tackle them when i get to them. :)

Also yes i helped Dez upload priboi 1.1 before it was released its an awesome mod aswell deserves its praise.

Oh and as far as the free time and beta testing goes, have you seen my mod? "Infested City"

If so then would you be intrested in being a beta tester at some point?

If you want we can continue this convo on MSN or another thread if you wish as i dont think nightwatch would be to happy about our offtopics all the time. :P

EDIT: BTW Nightwatch check your emails.

You're most welcome Lee28, and thanks for your interest. That's the link:

http://www.gamerspedia.net/

You'll need to download version 2.0 then download the patch v2.4. It's windows installer, no mixing is needed. The installer places everything in order. There are three gameplay versions available that you'll need to choose from during installation of the main mod (v2.0) Full-Horror, Horror-LITE and Non-Horror (please check the web site for extensive definitions and features as well as Tips & Help pages, and the installation page) :D

The patch sits on any version regardless.
Possibly nect version it'll be 2.4.1, with another small gameplay and stability patch.

Maybe we all should start putting links in our links here, too, just as we do on GCS forum.

Stay away from the Doc....got it! Thanks for the advice and very nice
pictures. 2.4 has shown even greater gameplay improvements and
better stability. I do strain it by running at 1600 x 900 ws res. and since
2.4 I may slow down a little if things get too intense but it never crashes.
You have become a Master Modding Guru and you should pat yourself on
the back...just don't dislocate your shoulder!

Hey audioave10 I'm glad that you enjoy this verion, too. Yes, if you see a man who look like bearded monk or something when (if) you take a blue book from a desk in the monolith HQ basement in Pripyat, yup, please stay away from him. Due to his resourcefulness in upsetting the game, and providing no use in it at all, he has now been removed with the coming 2.4.1 patch.
And thanks also for your compliments, but to be honest -while keeping my feet on the ground- I'd be happy if I'm regarded to be a modder at an adequate level at most :) Master Guru? Thanks, but, it would take years for me even to come to the door of that stage, even if I find where it is. But, I promise, I'll do my best not to dislocate my shoulder. :D
