Balious, mdmp files are minidump files, generated following a crash.
This is from Windows:

"Uncompressed error dump file generated by Windows XP/Vista when a program has an error or crashes; contains a "dump" of the program state when the error happened and other relevant system data recorded at the time of the error.
Compressed Heap Dump files are saved as Minidump (.MDMP) files and may be sent to Microsoft as part of an error reporting and bug fixing process.

Windows Error Reporting settings are stored in the Windows Registry at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting."

You may still have a problem with graphics department there. I wouldn't suspect from the memory, though still may have a part in it, but seems that the main culprit graphics (quite probably the graphics driver, or GPU coding has a fault in it that may be accelerating an existent difficult read problem on the processed files. You previously referred to textures and that when you removed them, the game started (if I remember right.) That may be a supporting evidence on this assumption. Try that again if you wish. See any change in response.

Try this fsgame.ltx file and let me know. It looks like xray is having a problem with every single file in the game, which is retardedly stupid.

Thanks Nightwatch for that information.

I tried deleting the textures folder again just to confirm its graphical and the game started up okay again. Of course I couldnt go any further as I needed the textures folder as this error says:
FATAL ERROR

[error]Expression : fatal error
[error]Function : CRender::texture_load
[error]File : E:\stalker\patch_1_0004\xr_3da\xrRender\Texture.cpp
[error]Line : 295
[error]Description : <no expression>
[error]Arguments : Can't find texture 'act\act_bandi2'

stack trace:

I tried the fsgame.ltx file ket and still no results :(

Downgrading to a lower video driver may help but I do not know what number to try :-k

I don't know why your getting problems. Every which way I try to duplicate your issue, I can't. Have you tried deleting JUST the user.ltx file then trying to play TK?

That didn't work either ket :mozilla_frown:

I finally decided to try downgrading my video drivers starting with going to 10.8. If STALKER still doesnt work I try the next lower driver. I will announce the results after some testing.

Okay Update:
I tried from 10.9 all the way to 10.6. Still no success. I then just figured go straight to 9.9 and that also didnt work. Judging by these dates ATI have given for when they released the drivers and to when I uploaded the STALKER vids of TK2.Zero before hand seem to try and tell me its not ATI drivers that are the issue.

The only things I have changed since I last palyed TK2.Zero are: ATI drivers and have 4GB Memory. Can memory really affect how a mod works that only doesnt work because of the textures folder I have?

Nope. More memory is always better, and TK is actually being developed on two systems with 4GB RAM in each. I could likely figure out your issue if I could sit in front of your system, but alas birmingham is some way from horsham :( Can you try the mod on another system? that would rule out if its a mod or system specific problem.

There is another computer in my house used mainly by my dad but is a family computer. Here are its specs:
Windows 7 Professional 32bit
Dual Core Processor 2.30 GHz (something like that)
Geforce 8400 GS (my old video card)
4GB RAM

I asked my dad if I could install STALKER and he said yes. So After getting the game and mod on my computer I can say that it works on that.

So this means that on my PC there is something stopping it to work. Well at least we know it deffiantly isn't the mods fault now. But what is causing this to happen :-k

Honestly, absolutely no idea. A full rundown of software and hardware on your system would be helpful.

Just a thought. If this were happening to me I'd uninstall STALKER, manually clean out any remaining files in the STALKER directories, uninstall my video driver, run driver cleaner, and then run CCleaner (or other registry cleaner) until I had the system as STALKER-free and vid-driver free as possible.

Then, install/test a new video driver, then STALKER, then KET.

I'm currently stuck with a horribly bugged "Eliminate the Bandit camp at Depot" task in CS, and the above is exactly what I'm planning to do to rid myself of the problem.

(The bug is that while I've killed the bandit boss, Limpid and the other bandit - the one who sells stuff - are missing until I kill the "last" regular bandit. They then appear, but only after the game forces my weapons to my pack. Bandits have never been neutral in this playthrough, so not being able to draw a weapon is bugged IMO. No weapon, can't kill them, can't complete the task. I've tried everything but a complete wipe and reload without success)

Im not sure if that help me here Krag. I had this problem just before I moved to 7 and I had deleted everything from XP including drivers just before the move. Im going to give it a go though.

Here are my Specs:
Windows 7 Professional 32bit
Quad Core Processor 2.40 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 5750 (using 10.9a hotfix driver you linked earlier)
4GB RAM
Realtek Sound Card

What can I use to find out what my motherboard is? I thought I posted it before but can't seem to find it. And I have a weak brain to remember its name.

Am I missing anything else to add to the list? I believe im using the latest drivers for everything.

To get more detailed info use CPU-Z or Lavalys Everest ;)

Ok I tried Krag's suggestion and it had failed.

I uninstalled STALKER making sure theres no signs of its files about including TK2.Zero. After that I uninstalled my ATI driver and restarted my computer into safe mode and ran Driver Sweeper. Restarted again and ran Driver Sweeper again just to analyse in case there may be another file and it was clean. Ran CCleaner, Installed ATI hotfix 10.9 and restart my computer again. I ran L4D2 to test that the driver is working and it was. Installed STALKER and it worked. Installed Patch 1.0004 and it still worked. Installed TK2.Zero and no success :(

Thanks ket I totally forgotten about CPU-Z

Motherboard: XFX nForce 650i Ultra
PSU is at 750 Watts I think.

Is there anything else I forgotten to list? Could some spyware or virus do anything like this or am I thinking the wrong way?

Stuff like spyware would slow down a system, but it shouldn't outright stop applications from working properly. From what I know of your system theres nothing that should be causing this problem. As a experiment though you may want to try OCing your graphics card in case TK thinks its not powerful enough. It would be strange if that is the case, but I've diagnosed far stranger things in my time on other systems.

FIXED IT!

I spoke to jamie and told him what was going on. Then he just gets this idea of delete the Thumbs.db files that may be there. I go searching to see if I do have any and I have a few. Deleted them and the game works now!

I like to thank him and of course thank you guys again for helping me :-bd

Well, I said whatever the problem would be would be a odd one, and thumbs.db files indeed puts it in the realm of odd :p I'll make sure theres no thumb.db files in the next beta that goes up.

Well strange and odd things do happen in the Zone and this proves you need to learn about such things before adventuring inside the Zone.

If there is a list of what people could do to get STALKER working again with mods or so I think this should be added to the list so other people don't actually lose a few days of not being able to play a mod. Just in case some Thumbs.db do get made and cause the problem again.
