F.E.A.R may be up there but it didnt scare me that much. just some random HOLY SHIT WTF?! moments. They seriously annoy me :(

When i was very young it had to be either resident evil 1 or it came from the desert. Damn i hated them giant ants :(. Now i wanna play it and get revenge on them but its too slow and no sound on my computer :(.

Also agreed with doom 3. I had it on crap graphics once and i saw the very ugly things that i wish i could never see again.

Half-Life 2: the dude at beginning. Seriously his face is just horrible to me :(.

Now, this may seem strange...
But I'd have to say the first HALO.
That part where the Flood just busts in on you for the first time is a total HOLY F***ING SH*T moment. Then, as soon as you step out, there's a room where you see Covenant being torn to shreds by the Flood. I had to stop playing and come back to it after a few days.

Then, I'd have to say Silent Hill. Every time I play those games, I get a knot in every muscle in my body. They are just CREEEEEPY! Pyramid Head goin to rape you..........

Doom 3 didn't scare me. I was too busy enjoying watching demons kill each other after I tricked them into hitting each other. Tricks from old school Doom work the best.

FEAR was triiiiiippy. It doesn't help that I was playing the game in French and on max graphics, but that game just had some crazy visuals. The whole time I was playing it, I thought I had taken too many mushrooms or something...

First time I played doom3 it was quite scary, one bit especially, you walk through a door, everything is bitchblack and then suddenly a imp jumps infront of you

I haven't played System Shock 2, but now I have to. Curiosity is just too much. :)
I'd accept that FEAR and DOOM 3 could be considered in this catagory, possibly, as far as PC Games go; or, I'd say Resident Evils are quite good candidates to scare the s**t out of many people. :pale:

(PS: We'll have a console games section as well, under the "Other Games" catagory.)

So, what do you guys think of dead-space? It'll probably be linear as ****, but I'll still think it'll be a pisser on the first playthrough.

Never got to play some of the older games listed here, but I would say
that "Condemned: Criminal Origins" has some spots that will make you
jump hard.

That video may have worked better if the title had not given it all away

Anyway, got to be Doom 3 for me, just for one reason...

Demon baby-fly hybrids, the noise was the worst thing.

Played FEAR again recently, and that has its moments, mostly related to clever use of sound and visuals, but I'd still say Doom 3.

I would also mention Stalker here, the first time I met the controller in the Agroprom tunnel. I hear the roar, I shit myself, and then this old man comes shuffling into the hallway. So after I stop laughing I think, I'm just going to pepper him with my new rapid fire AK74...

Cue high pitched wail, I get "mind slapped" and before I can recover I'm slapped a second time and dead. That one got me.
