VOTING: Do you want PC & CONSOLE GAMES under same roof?

Postby Nightwatch on 01 Oct 2008 23:25

Hey Guys,

As requests come from members to include the console games as well in our disscussion of Other Games, I wonder if the majority of our members would prefer to have the Console and PC Games discussions under the same roof here (after changing this forum- section- name to "Other Games" ) or, in separate two sections; one dedicated to PC Games and the other one for the Console Games?

Thank you. :)

I don't see any problem with mixing them if the thread starter notes the plaform like "Gears of War (XBOX)" etc.

Kany...one thing to think about is that alot of us are much older and did
not ever have consoles. So when I check ANY thread it's only for the PC.
I understand it's no big deal for you. Consoles have simply never been
any part of my life.

Neither then mine. I never had any consoles, I always prefer PC.
But I don't mind if someone post here console games threads, but it's also good for in separated.:)

I wouldn't mind them being in same discussions as long as they do what kany says. But i think in my opinion is that it be very much easier to have seperate ones. It be very much easier to post instead of someone may forgetting to add (xbox) or something.

I myself do have the consoles but not the latest ones like wii, 360 and ps3. I do want a xbox 360 though just for halo and dead rising.. Also Resident evil 5.

Well, do I really want to read an Xbox thread on GTA IV, then read a PC one on the same game?

At times they may be discussing the same aspect of the game, or even making comparisons between the platforms... so why clutter the site up with many, many small threads?

Just an example, but recently we have been discussing a game, and hopefully helping someone decide if they buy it. The theme, style, music and type of gameplay have been discussed, all common to the game, not specific to the platform.

Any specifics can be address pretty easily....

Poster 1 "Does it have co-op play"

Poster 2 "It does on PC, never played a console version"

Poster 3 "It is on Xbox Live but the use of a joypad makes it a shambolic, messy affair"

So far vote numbers are not sufficient to achieve a solid decision. Most people seem to prefer to remain neutral to the vote. Yes currently, separate thread wish has the upper hand, when members start to open threads for console games, -depending on how things go- we'll make a decision.

If you wish, you can open a console game thread here for the time being, then -depending on how the voting goes and the number of such threads- they can be arranged under a "Other Games" type of section, in two separate sub-sections. :)

Keep it all here I say, just add a little prefix like [PC] or [console] so people know what platform its on.
