FPS days numbered on PC according to MS

http://www.vg247.com/2010/09/20/kudo-ha ... -any-more/

Was browsing the ATI forums when I saw this in the First-Person-Shooter Category. And as I haven't seen anything here I thought I post it here.

The guy is from MS... that alone should say he doesn't have a clue on what hes talking about. Lets name just a few most favored PC games of all time shall we?

Unreal Tournament series
GRAW
Bioshock series
Stalker series
Dead Space

Oh look, all of those are FPS games or have heavy FPS elements in. Nobody plays Halo on the PC because its crap, doesn't mean FPS games aren't popular.

Also Microsoft would like to promote their own XBox against the PCs, there's good money in it.

Fully agree with you ket. Apart from Dead Space is a TPS :D

Heres where I think they got this bull stuff from. Halo 2 was ported to PC on Vista. Everyone hated it. Then this guy assumes because of that what he says in that link.

And wasn't the first FPS on a PC? And lets not forget DOOM and Wolfenstein series while we discussing good FPS games B-)

Very true. Doom3 was massively popular, so was Quake4, and wouldn't you know theres plans for a new Doom and Quake, on the PC!
