CCK Technologies = BAD

Nowhere to really put this so figured here was the best place. I ordered some stuff from CCK tech, I got an email saying the got my order blablabla fast enough and that another email would be sent when the item was shipped, that was a week ago... Still no email saying what I ordered has been sent, 3 emails now trying to find out whats going on and... nothing. The last email I sent said if I didn't get a reply by the end of today they can deal with my credit card company, trading standards, and any other body of people I could find to make their lives extremely uncomfortable for a very unhappy christmas.

Anyone dealt with these morons before? When I placed my order the item was in stock (Asus M3N78) and with delivery came to just shy of £60, not a huge amount by any means, but certainly enough to notice it missing X( If any of you guys have dealt with these people before, got any tactics for dealing with them?

This is the reason why, if i ever do upgrade (Which is rare occurence) i always order from OCUK (Overclockers UK)

My brother swears by that site and i myself can even see why, they have the best service i seen, if anything is faulty they will replace it just like that no fuss, everythign arrives on time, great communication, etc etc, i myself never get alot off them, my bro does get alot off them, and he swears by them everytime.

Check them out:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/

They also do other stuff like TV's and so forth, its a very varied shop. :)

ocUK don't stock everything, the board I wanted is among that hence why I went elsewhere. ocUK are also not the cheapest by a long shot when it comes to most things, and if you do get something DOA, good luck with ocUK on that one. For me though their delivery has always been prompt.

Yar, hence why i said they replace anything faulty, which has only happened once to my bro, and they replaced without fuss, awesome site, not cheapest, but atleast they deliver the stuff and are 100% reliable within reason unlike the site you seem to have bought off of. :S

I won't buy from anywhere I even remotely suspect as being dodgy. Check CCK Techs site for yourself, home or business sites like ebuyer, only on a smaller scale. If I find out the money has come out of my account (cheking this in a few mins) and no product at my door, all hell is going to break loose.

If you've paid with a credit card, you can make a "charge-back" , just call your credit card company. I made one last year. When they can't prove that they sent the item to you, you'll receive the refund.

Fortunately the money is in my account still, but its conveniently at that stage of the order where things are in "limbo" and its just that bit too late to cancel the order.. whats that thing where you can tell a bank to block a payment?

I had something similar with Overclockers recently, and just phoned my bank, told them the details and got the payment blocked.

Overclockers was great, but many people have been complaining of poor response rate lately, some using customer reviews to get their point accross.

My tale of woe, ordered Sunday, all items in stock.

Monday - status - order received
Tuesday - status - in our warehouse queue
Wednesday - status - items being selected
Thursday - I cancelled the order, blocked the payment and went elsewhere.

I had paid for overnight delivery and pointed out that kind of implied time was a factor!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: Never heard of CCK, but thanks to you ket, they'll never be hearing from me.

What details do the bank need? First time I would need to block something, just the company name and address isnt it?

I told them name, date and amount of the transaction... I think the main thing is if you have the exact amount, its easy for them to find... presuming you get through to a call centre based in these fair isles, you have a chance!!

It's good that this CCK matter is brought up, I didn't hear it either before. They won't see me as a customer in the future by any chance, thanks.

also you can still call "charge-back" even if the item is delivered to you, in case if the item is not as described as on the advert and if it's aslo below the specs advertised.
When the company does not accept return of the good and pay the the full amount as refund, you can ask yout Credit card company to make a charge-back, because the item was substandard or not delivered or fault, etc.
They'll make a charge-back, it's the beauty of buying something with credit card.

Also, from my experience (I won't name the company) but I had a very bad experience with an onlin eretailer when I was buying a PC last year.

Distant Selling rules:

That's the thing that I learned at that time and saved me a lot. Got me a FREE PC even. :)

Whatever they tell you, when you buy something online they have to accept it to be returned at the least in 14 days time.

If they don't, so you start a "charge-back" from your credit card company. Get your money back, then:

Remember: You don't have to pay for the return postage if the item is too bulky, big.
You tell the retailer that they should 1-either send you a prepaid packaging or 2- hey should collect it themselves. KEEP COPIES OF ALL LETTERS. If they fail to collect the item within (about, reasonable time) one month, then you don't have to keep it safe at your premises. You need to warn them them you are getting rid of the item.
Wait another week, then, either throw it away or donate, or keep. :)

They failed to collect the PC in good time, and I got myself legally a free PC last year. Though it was not the model (they sent a lower one) that I wanted, they got arrogant but I got advice from Citizen Advice bureau on Distant Selling Rights/regulations, and I won.
Keep it in mind, we should practice our rights.

lol wouldnt surprise me if that company was DELL :p Hopefully I have everything sorted out with my order now, I managed to get hold of a phone number and cancel it - apparently I'll get a email saying its been cancelled. If I don't get that email I'll call them again tomorrow to make sure they have.
