Depends on what do you want to do. You can make dynamic HUD modifications if you call that from bind_stalker.script, like AMK did the ui_rad.

Thanks. I`ve always wanted to make my own mod and start with something small to learn by. Would it be possible to make the actor play the guitar? Like maybe when you select the guitar, it shows you the third person view of one of the NPC that plays the guitar, but you assign to them the marked ones face and armor he is wearing at the time. Dont laugh if this sounds ridiculous :geek: Just need to be pushed in the right direction :salute:

EDIT: I suppose you could edit a weapon file, but still dont know where the HUD files are or even what to do with them. Only thing I managed to do is make a VAL look like a guitar when its lying on the floor :tongue: In the weapon section it calls an ogf file, but I dont think there is one for the guitar or am I wrong?

You must do guitar playing animations for the actor, since that doesn't exists yet. Hard.

Yep, download PE3 from Stalkerfiles and you will see how.

I used AMK bind_monster script, but made a standalone version that does not need other AMK scripts. You then create a section for the mutants particles, and a reference in the mutant file to the particle section.

Look at the bind_monster.script, config\creatures\particles.ltx & m_controller.ltx and mutants.ltx - in the ltx files I added a comment like ; _ecp so you can see the new lines I added. The particles.ltx is a completely new file, so I "#include" it from monsters.ltx.

AMK did it originally with their Electro chimera, and Nightwatch helped me understand how it is done.

LOL, yeah I know that my code goes there, just wondered what the code is to attatch a particle to a mutant. Trying to download Eggchens PE3 but it just wont download, getting frustrated :scratch:

That's simple, just use my m_burer.ltx, spawn it as "burer_weak" via script, in OL I'm using amk.spawn_item() instead of alife():create, because that returns to actor if ID is nil.

Spawn it on game load, with bind_stalker, actor_binder:net_spawn(data) and block it with an infoportion to avoid the multiple spawns.
