Multiple texture format converter

Postby ket on 07 Dec 2008 17:45

Anyone know of any? What I mean is does anyone know of any software I can load up as many textures as I like, then say select DXT5 for the textures to be re-saved as, and the software automatically re-saves all the loaded textures as DXT5. Hope that makes sence :D

Problem solved I found THIS! If that doesn't work for anyone for some reason the DirectX SDK is supposed to be able to convert multiple files, I couldn't get it to work though the option wasn't where it was supposed to be.

I remember that I had tried that one, but it was not working on Vista. Are you using Vista now?

Hell no! I wouldn't disrespect my PC in such a way as to use Vista :p W7 looks promising though, should be released early-mid next year.

I've already dived into Vista too deep now B-( but if I can manage to get a cut/promotion deal, I'm thinking to jump onto the W7 wagon next year.

Theres one place perfectly suited for shifting copies of Vista.. ebay. Stick it up for aution for 7 days a week before W7 is released, and you should have no problems shifting Vista. Most people on ebay have more money than brains lol.

Yup, you're right on that.
I haven't heard yet, though, if this converter and other software that do not currently work on Vista will actaully start working on this new W7 OS?
Currently I'm trying to pull things using abode suit taht i have access at workplace, but photoshop and others are not as quite coopeative with the user and not so versatile in all aspects as much as many freely available software are.

W7 uses the server 2008 core, so chances are stuff like that DDS converter I linked to will work fine in W7 :thumbright:
