Eggchen, this is a question for you! (or anyone else :p )

This is a simple one, or hopefully it is for anyone that loves playing with the particle editor. Whats the name of the particle effect used when those red barrels explode? I need to tweak it.

Well the particle "library" is not organised in the best way!! Took me ages to find some effects.

Easiest way is to check out the ltx for whatever you are interested in. So for your barrel, find the entry in weapons.ltx and you will see....

explode_particles = explosions\explosion_barrel

*sigh* Is there any reason why the SDK has decided not the play the particle effects egg?

I don't have it installed at the moment, but have you got in running in realtime?? Bottom left somewhere there is an option menu, where you check realtime.
