e6300 Great Budget CPU

My e2140 another great budget chip was getting on a bit so i decided to look around see what i can get (Bang for buck). Was having a look at a the 8400 as a possible upgrade but was about £125 then saw this being talked about and it only cost £54 delivered (Bargin)

Got it 2 days back and very impressed ,i can get into windows at 4ghz with it but not stable on intel burn program so i have had to drop it back to 3750 ghz. If you got a board that does 400 fsb then its a even better bargin just a shame my board cannot get the job done

Nice screenshot with a few programs showing what it does, 10.5 multi so low clocking boards with get a good clock out of it, gives me 6.8 on windows 7 system check. Goes great with my 4850 another bargin . You can build a good gaming rig quite cheap these days. I am also a big fan of windows 7 64 bit, running great

If you need any more info just ask. I can recommend this for a budget build, in march gonna get a 5870 when the prices come down a bit

That might be the fastest bargain chip right now...nice work. I love my E8500-lower voltage, more cache and runs at 3.8ghz every day. I did pay more certainly,
but it would be my last dual-core. Many (including some friends) need that much lower price.

That's really a very good bargain
I also agree that nowadays it's rather much easier (cheaper) to build an adequately fast gaming rig, if one follows the bargains.

E6300 is indeed still a good chip if you get one that clocks well If it wasn't for me needing stupidly high amounts of power from my PC I would probably still have a dual. Nice find for £54

Thanks Ket, yeh its a great chip and please with it but i think i reached the end of the line upgrade wise mainly due to the P35 Ds4 motherboard . Just gonna save up for a new rig i think, still bang for buck minded it would be a Amd based rig as they are suck good value for money, second option would be a I3 (2 cores 4 threads) build as they clock very easy to 4+ ghz. Gonna be another year of 2 so maybe there be new chips and motherboards around by then

Unless your planning to go CF or SLi theres not much point in thinking about upgrading your mobo. My PC isn't exactly cutting edge but it still has more than enough power to handle whatever is thrown at it. Give it 2/3yrs, by then there will be something worth upgrading to. In the meantime just upgrade your GPU when the time calls for it, you'll be fine
