Indeed thats what I mean when I say IHS. I lapped the IHS on my E4400 and E7200 when I had those, temps didn't really improve as they had decent IHS anyway, I just wanted to see the pretty copper under the nickel plating :D. Temps would improve drastically though on my Q8400 if I lapped the IHS on it, its very noticably uneven.

Don't get cheap 1066 memory it won't clock well at all. This is a good kit though, it will top out around 1180-1250MHz. Only few things to note about this kit is that 1. beyond 1.95v or so you won't see any extra OC headroom, and 2. Changing timings to 6-6-6 won't help much either. Apart from that their about the best DDR2 kit you can get these days.

My aXeRAM was expensive for DDR2 when I got it few months back, about £60. The quality shows though, the sticks can do around 1180MHz. The RAM in the link I gave is for OCZ memory. Normally I wouldn't recommend OCZ they have burned me every single time I have tried them, but I have it on good authority the OCZ sticks in the link I gave are good quality stuff.
