LCD TV suggestion anyone?

LCD TV suggestion anyone?

Postby ket on 16 Jan 2010 02:32

Title says it all guys, I need a LCD TV. I don't need anything fancy like built-in freeview or DVD player, just a bog standard LCD TV to use with my PS3. Space restrictions limit me to about 20-22", wall mountable TVs are preferable :d As the LCD is just for use with my PS3 I'm not looking for anything too expensive either. Say up to around £150 or so. Anyone got some good suggestions? Googling really isn't turning up much, which is surprising IMO considering you can get some killer panels for PCs. Shame panels don't have scart inputs :(

I checked eBuyer.com and Amazon, but they all are at the price bracket touching just on £200 region.
You can check the ones in eBuyer here (Amazon prices are a bit higher)

Small screen TV prices seem not to have come down much, surprisingly.

Its the same in the US. Demand is mostly for slightly larger size LCD TV's. The only lower priced units I've ever seen are crappy brands with poor specs.

Something interesting...a Samsung 19" & a Samsung 22" are the SAME price on NewEgg. Same specs and $266 price. Cheaper units are poor brands with
very poor ratings.

Yeah its been a right pain in the arse finding a decent LCD, I did find THIS though for £134, seems alright. I might just go and get a old school TV for now and make it do until manufacturers come to their sences.
