Art design is epic in this game...but you will still find crappy Bethesda
textures here.

Too bad for the game. They have enough resources to employ people and bring high quality textures as well, it's like dropping something you've already caught your fingers.

This is still a great game and the modders will surely improve all of it.

The modding scene for Fallout 3 will be as big as it is for Oblivion mainly because it uses the same stuff as Oblivion so modding capabilites are (excuse my language) fucking huge.

Until the CS is released (if ever) modders will take a little while to learn
how to unpack all of the game. A few files appear to be different than
Oblivion was.
GOOD NEWS - Explore the disk and install from there...then use the
Fallout.exe (make a shortcut) to launch the game every time. Doing this
completely bypasses the Securom and allows you to play without the
disk in the drive. GREAT!

I did this - installed by exploring the disk & running setup.exe, then made the shortcut to fallout3.exe, but it still asks for the disk to be inserted.

That's strange...US version here. If you ever used the launcher than
Securom is there and will ask for the disk. Also, to do this you probably
can't use Windows Live or use the DVD-key.

Odd, theres nothing illegial about no-Dvd/No-Cd Cracks aslong as the person owns the Orig Game.

Wateva, anyway i am now starting to get a bit bored of this game. :(

Need something to spice it up like more Mutants and stuff and new guns and suits and all that. :)

The info I gave came from Bethesda themselves on their official forum.
Obviously, if your having problems with their Securom then you've bought the game.

It's not a problem, all I did was to delete one post that talked about a No-CD crack and where to get it, everything else including posts about how to avoid SecureRom are absolutely fine. (I'll be following the advice when I install the game!!)

The cracks themselves may be legal if you own the game, but the sticky asked that no-one discussed them and where to get them.

That looks awesome, looking forward to building my new rig next weekend, and enjoying this in all its glory... also Bioshock, and I'll probably give Clear Sky another blast on full graphics.

Oh. and Quad core with GTX280 means I'll be up for playing NEWSA finally.

It's awesome alright. Is it your local cinema? (just joking :D)

I hear that particularly Bioshock has very good graphics. You'll be having a vision-fiesta :thumbleft: with that GTX280. may it serve you well. :)
I need to upgrade as well, hopefully next month.

It seems that with Fallout 3 the data files list must be "checked" to enable
.esp files which is the form factor of most mods. So I'll be using the disk
in the drive for the Launcher which brings up the data window. The mods
already available make it worthwhile.
To bad, but I'll probably just leave the disk in the drive anyway until I
get tired of playing & modding Fallout 3. It's just so nice to have a full
game on your hard drive.
