Fallout Series Disscussions and Mods

Re: Fallout Series

Nah, its a conversion of the Exo mesh into Stalker by someone far more talented!!

I stopped playing Fallout 3 some time ago when I got GTA, but I think it is time to go back. I have installed a few tweaks and resisted the urge to do more, but the modding community for Fallout 3 is prolific. The overall standard is low, what with the nude bodies and "character mods" (basically an uploaded savegame), but there is some swift progress. Many weapons and suits are already out there, and high quality. Quite a few STALKER imports....

C'mon you're too modest  When I start play fallout I'll definitely use your tweaks. I'm sure of their quality.

I'm sticking to small guns but many are powerful.

Thanks Nightwatch for the link. Didnt find any standalone mods for running faster, so googled "Fallout3 mod run faster" and got this incase anyone else was interested :

Main Menu
Open Console
setgs fmoverunmult 7

Anything above causes animation errors

Further to the running faster thing. I find that it sometimes only works after you have crouched then stood up again.

Weird, but true. I cant even remember how I figured it out :D

Question. Does anyone know how to find dogmeat? I found him at the scrapyard and he came with me for a while, then I told him to stay cause I ran into a pack of raiders, then I forgot about him and now dont know where I left him :D

Poor bugger must be starving. I`ve checked a few forums and there is a console command to make him appear again as if its the first time youve met, but my conscience wont let me leave the original dogmeat out there in the wilderness somewhere :D

Youd think he had a map marker or gps or something LOL

Check Megaton and near Vault 101. He's supposed to go to Megaton after a certain amount of time I believe.

Help with a laptop

Postby VINTAR on 22 Jun 2009 06:29

Speaking of stalker, i had to lol at the fps i get now with my new rig. Im use to running at 17 fps and now getting 120 :-) but back to fallout. Do the bobble heads appear when certain skills are attained or are they just scattered around at random? I am at level 19 now and have only found two. Wow that whole animated land was weird too :-)

All the bobbleheads are available to get just by finding them but
a few you have to get by certain quests in order to get to where
they are without tresspassing or stealing.
One mod I highly suggest is the "Blue Sky" mod (not sure if that is the exact name). It gets rid of the ugly yellow sky. After all, it
is a long time since the nuclear war.

Some of them, Vintar, you'll find you are walking right past. I have a list of the ones I found so far and their locations (15 so far).

Im not at all help and im sure most people may have this if they actually look around. But I know one of them is at the start of the game where you turn 18 (I believe its here either that or when you take that test thing) and your in your dads office. Only one I know of and don't know where all the others are.

And actually hunting for them is one of the key points of the game for me. I love the hunt :p And yes, the first one is in Vault 101 so don't forget to pick it up. One thing I found also in that office, the framed "quote" has something hidden but a lock pick skill of 50 or something is needed. How the heck do you get that skill level at the beginning of the game? I always feel like I'm missing out when I can't open something LOL.
