Fallout Series Disscussions and Mods

Re: Fallout Series

I don't know squat about any DLC. Right now, my FOSE load order has about 20 items to tweak my gaming experience just the way I like it (no, there isn't any nude girls). Sasha Ashe is upgraded immensely and I also have Psi Piscium. And I have 40 levels but that really means nothing other than you will max everything to 100.

Wow, level 40! :mozilla_surprised: It seems you've really progressed a lot. =D> The last time I checked, I was at level 16.

Just a suggestion. As this topic is no longer needed to discuss all Fallout games perhaps one of us could make a general topic for each one? For example Fallout 1 General Discussion, Fallout 2 General Discussion and so on.

You have a point. You can open another thread(s) for Fallout 1, and 2 as this one has become predominantly a Fallout 3 discussion thread. Then I can rearrange some of the non-Fallout 3 posts into those 1 & 2 Fallout threads, if such threads are opened.

Well, I just installed Fallout 3 last night and it was a pain in the butt! Had to install GfW Live software to get it to run and then when I installed the 1.07 patch all I git was the Ordinal fill missing error. Sigh... So I am playing with no patches. Gameplay reminds me a lot of Oblivion, with is a plus. I love Oblivion. Seems slow paced, especially after the HELL of Newsa! :ymdevil: What are the best mods and where are they?

As far as the best? You'll have to be the judge on that. I use the Ultimate Load Order FOSE. I have yet to try what Fatrap put together :ymblushing:

I am beginning to HATE this game!! It called me an "Evil Plunderer" and sent a couple of guys to take me out. I got good loot off their bodies! :ymdevil: After I wiped out The Families, I took all their stuff. Big deal. But the game didn't like it. What can I say, I grew up in the zone! On Newsa street.

:D :D
Well, enemies are quite tough as well, actually. Bastards (particularly those yellowish giants) don't die even when you shoot them with shotgun at point blank range, lol.
Anyway, another good point of the game, in addition of those all mentioned earler, is that it's possible to get many different outcomes from almost each mission. So replayability is very good. And if you're running a good rig, as I think most of the folk is doing, then the graphics are absolutely brilliant. Previously, when I played it, I ran at maximum, the scenery was like a dream.
However, it's not doing well on 64 bit systems, It was turned nasty as soon as I installed Vista 64 (prior to my transfer to Windows 7 -64) and not improved now in Windows 7 -64, on the contrary to STALKER, which now runs like a dream... what a strange turn of events. :)
I haven't tried any mods yet, after the patch release, I can go and try some mods, firstly the one that fatrap released, of course.

Well, I will hold off on giving away water. The bounty hunters that come after me usually have some good weapons. That I can lift off their dead bodies! :-" Besides, the bounty on my head is only 1000 caps.

I agree. I started getting bored with this game. Like Oblivian, once you get up in levels it's easy. Plus it's the same thing over and over.

All I've got to say is...
What the F*******************************************?

I'm not as tired of this game as one might think. Haven't really had the chance to play the game as much as I want to... I still have yet to beat the main story arc... It's kinda like Morrowind for me... I play for a couple weeks, put it down for a couple months, then come back to it for a couple weeks...
LOOK! It says gullible on the ceiling!!!

These games have great modding communities so I'll check back in a
few months maybe.

They should've used their talent in a more useful way for the fallout fans to enjoy it better -that's a more interesting and new game play. Too bad, I couldn't watch it beyond halfway point, too torturous. :D

I hadn't found the opportunity to download pervious add-ons for fallout 3, but finally I bought the Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition, which comes all 5 add-on included; and... half price on sale.
(On Game shop and amazon (uk) in Britain.) Great! :thumbright: It's said to have some extended storyline as well.

I *cough cough* got this for Christmas. Haven't stopped playing yet. Whatever you paid, well worth it in my book.

I haven't started the "Broken Steel" yet, slowly walking towards the destination while exploring any of the map-spots/locations along the way, but the thing is that the "Outcast faction" is a dead enemy against me (because I had attacked their base earlier in the game and got their Gatling Laser) and now I'm wondering if I can actually play this add-on. Maybe they will start shooting at me as soon as I approached the base that sends the help signal. :-k
