Here is a list of bands I DON'T like because THEY have no musical tastes:
Creed
Nickleback
Theory of a Deadman
Thirty Seconds to Mars
Avenged Sevenfold
Buck Cherry (Tribute to Chuck Berry... REALLY?! Why don't you guys write something not half-assed then)
Flyleaf (admit it, that chick has an awesome voice, but she spends WAY too much time over producing and over processing it... I'm sorry, but I don't want to hear a female Ozzy, over-dub of her own voice included)
50cent
Tupac
Really old Red-Hot Chili Peppers (I'm talking about before they got a label... Bunch of heroined up junkies running and screaming on stage...)
And pretty much anything in this category, with a good number of exceptions... Why you ask? Well I'll tell you:
1: Individuals in said bands (I've actually met a small few of them) care more about being a "rockstar" than the music.
2: Their musical talent is roughly equivilent to Brittney Spears
3: I prefer rock that doesn't try to copy other successful bands, and actually ROCKS.
Rock and Roll was originally about... ORIGINALITY! About rebellion! About taking the status-quo and shoving it up the man's ass! All I see in these bands is mediocrity and repitition of previous trends. Flyleaf? Anyone remember Kitty? Same goddamn thing. Nickleback IS a Creed wannabe, who is a Pearl Jam wannabe... I could go on for hours about the various faults of these bands, but quite honestly, I feel like its trying to tell a bunch of 12-14 year old girls why Jonas Brothers suck! Or why Miley Cyrus sucks! Another point to make is: Remember Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch? Or New Kids on the Block? All these bands had HUGE mainstream success, despite how much chode they sucked...
THAT is why I dislike these bands. And actually, if you want to challenge my musical tastes, I highly suggest you go through my previous posts, as well as visit my youtube page. You'll only find quality shit there. And yes, I am a snob when it comes to music, but that's because I am completely, and whole-heartedly, an audiophile. Music IS my world.
LOOK! It says gullible on the ceiling!!!
