Very great games!

Fallout 3 to me looks good so far. we can only wait and see what it be like.

Also from fallout 2 for people wanting a little laugh if you get it:

I'm pretty sure Fallout 3 will be the best game this year.

Anyone seen a video of Fallout 3 that is PC gameplay??

Sick of every preview showing slow, smooth joypad gameplay, and I'm hoping the PC version is a bit more fast and brutal than the consoles.

Still, every video reminds me why I ditched consoles. No shooter should be played with a joypad!! Driving games yes, shooters, no.

I totally agree. I tried to play Xbox Massive Effect, last month. It took me about 5 minutes before I gave up. They don't walk, turn, aim fast enough. Then what's this forward move? Trying to make them move on the starigh line with two joysticks, like circus. LOL.:D Nothing beats mouse and the keyboard on FPSs. racing... Yes, console games are better in racing this time, though.

Fallout 3 got a score of 90 in PCGamer UK.

It says many things that reminded me of Oblivion...

Massive game world.
Game can be completed in about 10 hours if you just follow story.
If you don't just follow the story, you could be there for years.
Quest giving NPCs.
Trade, RPG, Speech skills, etc, etc.

But different to Oblivion...

Survival is much harder.
The wasteland is a tough place.
Breakdown weapons to repair yours.
Companions, including a Dog.
Less NPC's, it is a wasteland.
Better voice-acting, less repetition.
Different scaling system for enemies.

The review made no real mention of combat other than the VATS system. Did not say combat was hard, just that survival was hard.

No real mention of system performance either, other than :

Required: 2.4 Ghz, 1Gb Ram, Ge6800/x850
Recommended: 2.8 Dual, 2Gb Ram, 8800gt

No mention of DX10.

Reading the review, and seeing the screenshots, I think a Stalker fan would like this :salute:

Not sure if its just me but im sure i heard or read or saw somewhere where it said that the game had like 100 diffrent endings or something stupid.

Anyone care to confirm that?

Nothing in the review, but I did read in an earlier preview that it "sort of" has many endings.

The ending is presumably the same for everyone, whether that is you eventually find your Father or whatever, I read that it tells that ending through a series of flashbacks of your actions... so there will be many different versions of the same ending... if that makes sense!

Great news! :) I'm looking forward to Fallout 3 even more now. 90 points on PCgamer, ha? Top notch.

Ending variations sound good as well. So as I understand it from what you both write, it is sort of a Resident Evil-Nemesis type of ending, correct? along the road differnt events/scenes depending on your choices, and maybe shorter and longer ending... if that makes sense, like Nemesis? :)

Don't know, never played Nemesis!!

One other point though, when you finish the game its over, no Oblivion style carrying on... guess it needs a Freeplay mod.

Yes nightwatch it does sound like nemesis with that multiple ending thing :).

For those getting fallout 3 i would suggest get the other fallout games as soon as possible just to try them. It may help getting into the mood. Although i only played 2 i may try 1 and tactics one day.

The requirements for 3.. sounds like i can just play it but it may be very laggy for me :(. I hope i do get a new graphics card and more ram at christmas so i can play it.. Someone buy it me for a gift! :angel9: please? :)

Yes, a Nemesis style multiple-ending/multiple-way would be great, it'd give more playability.
Also, it's good idea to play (at least) the number Fallout 2 before starting the 3. A lot of gaming seen in the horizon, some of them may need to wait for the Christmas period maybe.
I guess, it'd be the same for many gamers. :)

Wow, Fallout 3 seems to be the real deal. That's the game I'll buy next.
Remember...Fallout 1 & 2 were top-down point-and-click games. But I
guess they were deeper than most games and were well loved.

I have very good expectations from Fallout 3, it may actually be "the game of the year"
I also earmarked the games: Deadspace and Far Cry 2 (still didn't get it yet) as soon as I'm available to play some games, I'm entering a gaming spree. LOL :)

Better wait for Far Cry 2 as it's ratings are getting lower and lower. It's a
console game mostly. :pukeleft:

But info on Fallout 3 is getting better and better!
