Kind of a tie-in with the thread ppl can show their puter off in. This thread is for those who want to show off their OCs and benchmarks :D I'll upload my results a little later, doing lots of HDD intensive things atm.

My current systems are AMD/Asus mobos which restrict VDIMM voltages
and render overclocks down to 0.1 or 0.2 ghz. The best way to go now for headroom is Intel for sure. I OC my video cards but that's it for now.
Next time it will be Intel/Gigabyte!

I may be about ready to give Ket some competition...new build complete.
Intel E8500 3.16ghz...EO stepping - best for overclocking
Gigabyte EP-45 UD3L mobo...great bios for overclocking
G-Skill 2x2GB PC 8000 RAM
Nice and easy build...no problems.
I'll let things warm up for a few days and then see what I can do.

Doubt I will be making any challenges for a while :p Just switched boards to a Biostar TPower I45 in order to mod its BIOS. When I am making challenges though, you will know about it :d

Weird. I posted here on Friday and it's missing. Anyway, update to my pc:

Vista Home Premium 64 Bit
ASUS EAH4870 Dark Knight 1G @ 855/980
ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe Socket AM2+ Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 Dual-Core Black Edition @3.2GHZ
OCZ SLI 8192MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz (4x2048MB)
BFG GS Series 650 Watt power supply
ZEROtherm Butterfly CPU Cooler BTF90
Logitech G11 Keyboard and Logitech mX518 Gaming Mouse
Samsung 22" LCD Monitor

Fallout 3 is play b-e-a-uuuuuuuuuuuu-tifully! The CPU is overclocked 20% in the BIOS and the GPU is overclocked with auto-tune in ATI Catalyst. Still learning :)

Looks good...Rock...nice video card and I also have a 22" Samsung
monitor. I have to do a bios update and then I'll be ready to see what the E8500 can do.

Thanks. I installed SP1 last nite. GTA IV would not install without that. Today, I find out. Otherwise, the rig is kicking some serious mutant butt (with nude women doing the kicking)! :-bd
Overclocking the RAM is what I need to learn now. I'm not sure I even need to though. Heck, I'm not sure anything needs overclocking but that is in the eye of the beholder.

That site audioave posted for overclocking is awesome (viewtopic.php?f=10&t=242&start=0) but, still not easy to follow. I get confused easily and the first step that throws a monkey wrench in the works stops me cold. I'm trying but scared to ruin something.

Well Ket, I've seen your BIOSes page and the overclock page. Soooooooooooooo much information. Where do I start? I already have the CPU at 3.2 from 2.7 and the GPU goes up pretty good with that auto-tune. Is the RAM keeping up at this point? Fallout3 plays wonderfully.

Do you want to stay in this thread or start and actual overclock thread? Might be a useful thread to have.

Yeah, very good idea. :thumbright: I think one of you should open an overclocking thread, there are so many things to be discussed and learned.
