we had an influx of this years ago while I was playing competion Q3A CTF, the thought being that the other clans were able to hack the CTF binds (the way a CTF clan communicates with each other while playing) and therefore gaining an advantage, if the other clan knew your binds, then they knew what you were saying to each other during a scrim ( a match) and if they knew what you were saying then they could counter your positions.
I know this may sound like shit, but unless you've played online in competions you'll be lost.
the clan I was in was in the top three of Australia for years, we use to play against Nth American clans on there servers (giving them a huge advantage, as we would ping 250-300 and they would ping 10-35 (the lower the ping the less packet loss and the smoother the game ran) and we could hold our own and often beat them, lol, they would never come and play on the aussie servers, fkn pussies.
