Guys, today I went to see the "TERMINATOR -salvation" movie, it was its opening day in the UK. Very good movie. Worth of full 5 stars.

Rather old news but yeah it does indeed look promising.




Any of the mods here please go through some of the threads and perhaps eliminate them, it seems to me that quite a few are abandoned and are just taking up space.

Just because you've read those old threads doesn't mean they are of no use to anyone anymore. I never have understood why people feel the need to delete (censor?) posts and threads in forums like these. In a hundred years, who's going to care? I like to think that just maybe, it will all be archived somewhere for future generations. But, that's just me.

Thanks DARK TEMPLAR for the interest in the appearance and up-keeping of the forum, but we have rather ample space to store a few forums like STALKERmod, so the space is not a problem. And keeping old threads are also useful for everybody who may at one time wish to check some information that they have forgotten about; it is also useful for all Internet users to seek information. I, as for one, find it very useful old threads on other websites, which even go back several years, when I'm seeking an information on anything actually. Archival value is also very important. When a thread is not used, it simply goes down in the page and rolls back to a page behind.

PS: The forum is still quite new; but after a while, of course, it'll be a good idea to archive some very old threads into an archive.

Hey everyone! I thought that I better check in.... been super busy but it looks like that is about to change! My job has really slowed down.... barely enough work to keep us busy. I dunno how long it is going to be before the bosses start laying off some of the machinists.... and I will probably be one of the first to go because I specialize in the manual mills. These mills support the CNC mills and are not "money makers".... they just keep the big boys off the time consuming piddly stuff so that they can produce more $$$!

The laptop project has really slowed down also... probably because of the time of the year. I expect that it will start up again when school starts at the end of this summer. Hope so, anyhow! I did manage to get my workroom finished and it is really nice. In fact, I tossed an old military cot out there and sleep out there most nights because my wife can really snore at times! It works out better for both of us... and if... errr.... "romance" calls I can always make a trip back to the main bedroom!!

Haven't had much time to do any modding or gaming. I am really trying to get my motivation going and I just can't seem to get revved up... maybe soon.

Anyhow, thought I would pop in and say "Hi" to y'all.... sorry I haven't visited more often!

machinist from '84 to '95. I'm glad I'm out of it.
You should check out the news about "Call Of Pripyat", the next
Stalker game to come out. It has large maps and seems very
interesting & promising.

Hey guys. Thanks for the wishes. Can you believe i was bed ridden with the flu on my birthday. A bit better today. It was thankfully a bank holiday today and i had yesterday off anyway, but what a way to spend it! Dave, well the computer was sort of a birthdaY Present to myself, but i went out today, when i could eventually muster up the strength, and splurged on a 23" samsung syncmaster. yet to try it out, but soon.

It sure is a beauty. Played FO3 last night with a 1920 x 1050 (or something like that ) resolution and wow, what a difference. I mean i can hardly see my icons on my desktop lol but what a difference to the game. And i even still was getting 60 fps with all settings on high. Not bad for a little 9800GT.

1920 x 1080...I have the P2333 which was the model before the
one you have...great monitor.

Vintar, as you know and see now, when you've got a larger monitor, fonts inevitably got smaller on the screen. You can raise the fonts size on Control Panel (Appearance and Personalization/Appearance -on VISTA Control Panel) from its default of 96 to, say, 107-ish (depends one's liking). I use it on 109 now on my 22 inch monitor.
