We had two in a row. Both full grown black cats. I came to the conclusion that they were tossed over the fence. Basically "fed" to our dogs. Wish the hell I would have caught those aholes!!!!!!

Looking for local work. For anyone keeping track, here ya go. My first truck driving job was Swift. Then Werner (Truman actually). Schneider followed that. Then CRST for a whole 8 months. Then Knight for a month followed by Marten for a month. Then back to CRST for two months. Whew. Tired from typing it all. LOL.

Orientation next week in Sacramento, CA then hopefully right back here. Hired on to be a shuttle driver for Hendrickson Trucking. Local work moving trailers.

That job didn't work out. Not sure what happened. Anyway, just a heads up to anyone driving on the roads in the US, I am training over the road truck drivers. One month out. Four days home.

Quiet around these parts. Got home Wednesday. Tina went out today with a student. I'm off till she gets back Month or so.

Spent a few hours with the wife last night. If anything is constant with trucking, it's change. They had a light out on their trailer that apparently could only be fixed back at the Riverside terminal (they had made it as far as Barstow). Some truly micky mouse wiring overnight and I dropped her off again this morning. On their way to New Jersey by Wednesday. Wish them luck.

I Wish them luck, too. It seems , well, it's obvious, that trucking really unpredictable. Let's hope this unpredictability travels towards good fortunes on all quarters.

They got a little past Flagstaff Arizona yesterday and shut down for the night. His driving scares her so she's going to have to sit with him a few more days and instruct him on some basics. While she's gone though I'm going to see what is available for us to do locally and be home every day.

Well the wife and her student didn't last long. She had him put in a hotel in Kansas LMAO. She was afraid to leave the passenger seat because he was so dangerous as a driver. Constant lane changes without looking. No speed or lane control. This is a 72 foot vehicle, not a car! Seriously, he told her she wasn't qualified to teach him anything. He had 15 years experience and even his last instructor was inferior to him. So now she is running solo at a pittance of pay. Can't even pay the bills on this schedule. Don't know what to do. Go to another company? Stay here and keep getting sc***ed? My last run was solo. 600 miles for $140. That included 3 hours sitting at shipper and 2 hours at consignee. Pittance.

And she delivered the load yesterday morning. Still sitting in Salt Lake City waiting. Making $0

Sorry to hear that things haven't gone at their best, least to say. You have an unenviable conundrum in regard to choosing the companies, the right company; difficult question. $140 for 600 miles feels unjust for the effort one puts in into the work. After all, these are big vehicles, a certain danger is undeniable, and driving even in nice conditions in a comfortable car is a tiresome activity.

Well, Tina's student was a real dumb-ass , no question about it. Dealing with those type of drivers who can't pay attention, or care, to anything on the road other than strip-tease joints and burger bars is surely is a mission to test one's limits of tolerance. One should not carry any gun or something before sitting next to those blockheads. Poor Tina, she must have really high tolerance levels.

I have watched a couple of trucking documentaries in recent years, and what you say seem to be fitting their general visualization of trucking industry,which is a very difficult, almost volatile industry.
