So the big day is today. Best wishes to Tina on her motorbike practices; and to you, too, as I believe guiding a motorbike convoy, one of which contains learners as well, must require a lot of responsibility, care and attention.

Just got back from a camping trip in the "woods." Bloody Ohkies don't know what camping is... Pitched my tent on gravel, next to a parking lot, next to a road, next to a neighborhood, with pretty mowed lawns, expensive cars, and a sign that says "Tenkiller State Park..." This is apparently the best "camping" area Oklahoma offers... Whatever happened to being in the middle of BFE and not seeing a damn soul, sitting around the campfire with your buds, smoking, and jammin'? Whatever happened to UNDEVELOPED land? From now on, when I go camping, I am driving all the way to the Black Rock Desert. I don't want to be pitching a tent on gravel! I don't want to wake up with a bunch of people crowded around my tent! Damnit, I could have done this in my back yard!

But other than the other tents being only 5 feet apart, in front of some houses, it was alright. I had a "F*** Off" look on my face whenever people got too close so me and my friends could continue smokin' and a-jammin'. (Not the green stuff mind you, just tabaccer) Camp-fire was warm, music was good, and the whiskey was rough (blegh, gimme my bourbon, not this canadian nastiness).

Anyways, had fun, hope you folks are too! :P

Yes. Camping should be out in the woods with the possibility of Deer or Bears or even Coyotes coming into camp and the closest other campers at least 50 yards. I should be able to throw anything I want without hitting anyone LOL. Glad you enjoyed though....now I want to go B-)

Back in the '80s and early '90s when I lived in SoCal, I used to hit the desert when I got fed up with civilization. I would go in somewhere north of Indio and I would come out at the Colorado river. Usually spend a week out there.... all alone and nobody else in sight. I sure miss those desert camp outs.... I left SoCal about the time that Feinstein passed the Wilderness Protection crap that banned vehicle traffic in that desert area. What a shame..... ](*,)

I used to do the same up in a couple of places in ohio and arizona, whos names I cannot remember (damnit), and I used to go hiking up in Rickette's Glenn in PA. Camping is so much fun. Next year, I am moving to Utah, out in the desert... Planning on building a self sufficient home, irrigation for water, air moisture filters, geo-thermal heating and cooling, yadda yadda yadda. Permanent camp trip, baby! B-)

Now to save up the money for a reliable vehicle that can stand up the rigors of desert life...

Maybe I should start a cacti farm =))

I would gladly live in the middle of a thick primal forrest with no civilasation within a 100km radius. Unfortunatly thanks to the way everything works in life now thats not easy to do.

I've seen this game many times, it kinda reminds me of geometry wars... I'll have to give it a shot one of these days... and too bad I stopped smoking weed, I would love to be high while playing this... I think drool would be coming out of my ears!

This just in: Bloodsuckers REALLY like artifacts. I was playing SmP today. I had ambushed a group of mercs, and came away with a TON of artifacts... so I went back to the freedom base and stashed them so I can come back and go through them later...I came back a week later and went to my stash... only to have six bloodsuckers storm the building, killing all the gaurds and skinflint. I ran over to the crew around Max and the campfire, and they were massacred... I would have died if it weren't for cook, who unloaded some serious lead on the bloodf***ers.

Anyways, what I found amazing was the fact that they snuck INTO the base and all the way up to the building before starting to murder everyone... As if they were going for the artifacts! That is some seriously cool AI work...

Then I had two blowouts within 3 hours... which ended with roughly 30 zombies and a controller coming out of that train tunnel...

Oh, man. Tonight was fun! :)

How has everyone else's stalker games been going?

Thanks :) Hapy Thanksgiving to everyone from me, too.

Btw, What's everyone doing tomorrow on Thanksgiving? Is there anyone who goes for a non-turkey celebration, or a completely different celebratory approach to this festive time?
