No turkey for me as when I got it ready my oven decided to "epic fail" at the perfect time. No family nearby. Oh well. Stuff happens.

Happy Turkey Day one and all! Had good eats, watched From Dusk Until Dawn, then played some Mortal Kombat Deception. Gots some Rum and Coke, too! :) Anyways, just wanted to stop and say Happy T-Day to everyone! Cheers!

We deep fried a turkey (it was, and still is, delicious) and all the trimmings. Had a couple over from our sport bike group and all in all, had a great day. Watched The Unforgiven and Pale Rider till midnight. Big ride for Tina and I today B-)

Really too bad a luck, Audioave, having a oven malfunction just when you need it most. (I don't know which one is worst, though; oven-malfunction or wardrobe-malfunction? :mozilla_wink: ) But I hope you found something to replace the turkey at that short notice just enough to keep the festive mood up.

Rock,that's a very cute dog
PS: I share your opinion on the "cauldron sized spoon" hmmm... yummy.. :D

I've gone nuts with Borderlands for about 3 weeks solid. I'm done now I think. It was fun for awhile with all those bzillion guns.
I'm waiting for a Stalker mod with the added levels...A future NEWSA, Lost Alpha or OL 3.0. That would be interesting. That, and
Call Of Pripyat.

Jeez, honestly I can't wait for Lost Alpha or OL 3... If one or the other doesn't come out by February... I may have to go out and find a date... O, jeez... Going back into society... now THAT will be the day. :P But seriously... I need something to do with all of this free time on my hands, and I can't play most linear games anymore, because they just get too damned boring. Plus I've been playing OL to death, so I need something new.

So whats going on with you folks, these days? Why are people like Jamie and EggChen disappearing? Where'd everyone go?

I too have played most of my linear games to death. Anymore, GTA4, Fallout 3, and Stalker are all I'll load. NFS: Most Wanted is good. And, when all else fails, Serious Sam :-bd

=)) Serious Sam (the Second Encounter) I still have. I hope they release Serious Sam HD on a disk so I can get it. I don't do multiplayer so I don't do Steam.
Its only on Steam so far...damn, I want control over my own games. GTA 4 is the only thing on my quad system so far.

There may be hope yet for in the games development and programming.

Today I just finished designing my first game using Visual Basic. Of course its going to be pong. But a game none the less that requires a little programming. I feel quite happy about it.
It was part of my assignment in programming at college. I could choose two out of three projects. With the game meant to be the hardest. Well I have no idea how to do the other two projects but when the tutor showed how to move images around and with a bit more help from him and I was able to make a complete 2 player pong game :D.

I think I am still behind all you modders out there  I mean the mods everyone has done is amazing and whatever I can do right now can't top that. If only scripting was as easy as to learn that simple programming :D

Anyone know how I can continue from this? I would of asked my tutor earlier but he was in a meeting or something. May be able to ask him tomorrow as I see him in the morning for a few minutes and rarely in the afternoon.
I would like to try and make either a fighting game (Street Fighter), platform game (Sonic) or an FPS (Doom) next. But I have no clue how to begin this yet. Does anyone know any guides or something?
