Police helicopter swooped in on a life-sized tiger toy believing it to be an animal on the loose.
Officers were deployed and a helicopter was scrambled to a field close to junction seven of the M27, near Hedge End, Hampshire, on Saturday.

The scare even stopped play at the Rose Bowl cricket ground and golfers were escorted from County Golf Club.
Police realised it was a toy when it blew over in the helicopter down draft.
Hampshire Constabulary is investigating whether the incident was a hoax and wants to trace the owner.
A concerned member of the public had raised the alarm after spotting what they thought was an escaped white tiger.
Animal cil at nearby Marwell Zoo were enlisted by police to offer advice and were prepared to send a team with tranquiliser darts to overcome the tiger.

The stuffed toy is being treated as lost property
Officers said they did not know how the toy got there but it was similar to one that would be won at a fair.

Saturday's cricket game between Hampshire Academy and South Wilts was suspended for about half an hour when police cleared the area.

Thank you! Worked another 12 hour shift on my birthday, gave myself a double time and a half birthday pay gift

MeanderingBeing , you seem to have hit a lot of problems recently. What happened with your tenancy contract?

Long story short, I had no lease, only a recorded verbal agreement. And when I signed a non-payment notice and complaint about not having a bathroom for 5 months, and complained about the collapsing ceiling, and the trespassing in my home, my slumlord decided to evict me rather than rectify the issue. Then he broke local and federal eviction laws and threw all of my possessions outside before an eviction notice was even posted, where it was promptly looted by the neighborhood douche-bags. Finally have an Eviction Hearing arranged, but my lawyer has yet to contact me with a date. According to the lawyer, this is a cut and clean case, and that the douche-bag slumlord will be spending some serious time in jail. But slumlord is also filing counter-suit, trying to say I caused all the damages in the apartment, and that I threatened him at gunpoint. So yeah... That's what happened... And that's the short story.

Now I am once again a homeless douche-bag red-head, couch surfing into the sunset, and generally having increasing difficulty finding any valid reason to participate in Western Society, since I seem to consistently attract the worst of it from the day of my birth.

Bad luck, MeanderingBeing, for trusting that sleaze-bag landlord of yours. There are those kind of people in every walk of life, in fact in every corner of the world. I had once dealt with a lot of housing problems on local community basis where I lived at that time as a volunteer in this subject, and witnessed so many incidents more or less like the one you're having now. Always a contract is the best, in housing matters it's not advisable to trust landlords on verbal basis. Although many landlords would honor their word, there are few who can make you really sorry. Evidently, your landlord is one of the worst examples, no doubt about it.

I believe you have a strong case and he may be forced to pay you some compensation and reinstating your tenancy rights. He can't pull off his counter-accusations, as it'd be seen by the judge as a pathetic tactic to attempt to justify his actions after he's been caught. As it'll be judged that he should (and could) apply to the courts, other authorities and to the police if you had done the things that he now accuses you with. This is simple logic. If a tenant is destructive and pulls you a gun, a normal person (landlord) calls the police, instead of throwing his stuff into street and making this "supposedly" dangerous person even more angry and dangerous!! No judge would buy his story, don't worry. But, this is certainly another page in your problems; really sorry about it and I hope everything turns out as you wish and deserve.

You know, it's not all bad. Despite the leasing shite, and the events in this past week, I've started writing again. This time I've cut all of my political ranting. I've cut out all the unnecessary bullshit. I'm simply telling a true story. I'm finally sitting down and writing my story, and maybe it'll help someone, somewhere, sometime.
