Ok...so you got me reading about this "Occupy Movement". WTF? Is it just about the millionaires not being taxed? The bailouts?

And further reading....ok, my wife and I are unemployed. Avidly looking for work that just isn't there. One job comes available and hundreds apply for it. Our house, that we own (along with the bank), is on shaky ground (modified loan program that runs 3 months at a time and can end when they feel like it). We just stay home due to gas costing so much we can't really afford to go anywhere unless it's necessary. So I guess we're in the "99%" they talk about. Not everyone can be a millionaire. Our school system teaches us how to get a job. Not to become successful. And our millionaires pay no taxes while we pay out of our asses at every juncture. I can see where the bitterness is coming from I suppose.

That description is sadly familiar to me as well. I started my own business a few years back because getting a job here is exactly as you describe it. The business gradually started to pick up a bit, now the economic situation is so bad I spend most of my "working" hours delivering fliers by hand and anxiously sitting by the phone hoping for work. Sadly however, everybody in the UK is poor, which means I'm also poor because they don't have the money to have their PCs or laptops repaired.

Exactly... I join the sentiment, too. Well, impossible not to join, unless one is already in this "1 % group" anyway. Limitless and ever hungry profit race has finally drained the vital (though it was still very small) remaining wealth of the country, any country in the western capitalist system world. Britain is also, as Ket said, suffering from this outcome as well, like many of the other European countries. Stupid politicians who have been reduced to nothing other than PR officials of big corporations are still urging people to spend and spend, while people are being fired by thousands in order to increase or keep steady the profit levels of those corporations. No one cares how these people will survive. Everyone is struggling nowadays in once -rather artificially and beyond its means- glamorously decorated economies of yesteryears. It seems writing is on the wall. What's next? Mad Max 2012?

Remember that satellite that recently was gonna drop a 300# chunk ..... somewhere - maybe Canada , maybe India , maybe Washington State .... but it was gonna fall "somewhere"? And, there was "only a 1/3200 chance" that it would injure somebody? Then, NASA announced that it had fallen to earth, but they didn't know where? Well, here's the straight skinny.
