I would be tickled if I could get GTA IV to look, or run, like that.

That reminds me, Rock there is a new patch for GTA4 that might
help it to run better on dual-cores. Some had reported that it was a
good improvement so hopefully it will help you.

Hey, life support is costly! :P It's just not a fixed per-month outlay. I have a car from the 80's as well. When stuff like the power windows go, you go to junk yards.

Speaking of life support: FileFront is going down March 30th. The forum site is already undergoing a reformat for some other purpose.

I know where your coming from...Natvac...been there...and good find on
Filefront. This seems like a sad thing since they are talking about no
more download site for gaming at all. I'm grabbing any files I might want. :sad2:

Just a timing thing -- I was on GSC to catch up on a week's worth of posts, when FFxSTALKERx left a sad note. I just wish they'd left the forums up -- locked if necessary, but available for a few days.

This is just like the Oblivion Lost forum, in the way that the info is gone. That German forum's English subforum was the primary site for a lot of useful knowledge and was Russo's main base. The resurrected form is a wraith, with nothing there that reminds you of what it once was.

I would not be surprised if FileFront went down before March 30...

Wow, that's a nice bike! You better be careful with that it's so damn fast. It's called assfault for a reason. You're ass - You're fault and
that thing will leave you behind if you don't hold on. :))

A funny thing i heard somewhere.
''a severly injured patient is rolled in''
nurse: Doctor, he needs a lung transplant.
doctor to his friend: Do you know what we call bikers?
friend:No
doctor: Organ donors. Oh look it started raining, shouldn't be long now

Back when I rode, rockingmtranch, the Kawasaki brand was my favorite, with lots of power for the weight compared to other bikes like those made by Honda. (I'm old enough to remember mixing oil with gas. The sole advantage the early 4-stroke Hondas had over the 2-stroke Kawasakis was the straight-up gas from the pump. I think they supplied 2-stroke engines with a separate oil reservoir later.)

I guess the 4-stroke Kawasakis no longer have that problem. I wonder if one could still work on the bike in the garage...

Side note: I've not used the "Motorcycle Also" rating on my driver license in years. I was going to let it lapse because they used to charge for it, but now there's no extra charge. But the biggest discouragement to riding for me is that I won't be able to walk away from the spills as I once did. (My legs are a patchwork of strawberry scrape scars and muffler burn scars, mainly from the dirt-biking I did with street bikes.)

I am also leery of the other drivers on the road, after a biking buddy was surprised by an idiot who ran a stop sign.

Edit: One stupid thing I did early on a motorcycle was get on a freeway, look back to check traffic for merging, rub the left curb of the access ramp, and then turn the front wheel at about 40 mph (64 km/hr) to correct this. Folks on the access road gawked in slack-jawed amazement at this stupid "induhvidual" who cared more about his bike than his bleeding arms and leg.

Edit 2: Note to non-motorcycle riders: At the higher speeds, you lean to turn. You DO NOT turn the front wheel.

>> I'm not ordering off the Senior's menu at Sizzler

Neither am I. But only because it's not enough food. :P

LOL Nat at the food :)) My first street legal bike was a 1976 Kawai 175 that the trucks would almost blow off the side of the freeway when they passed me. Second was a 1978 Kawai 900 (loved that bike) that I actually rode on long trips (even in snow) and third was a Suzuki 1000 full dress that Tina and I had to sell for moving cash in '97. I'm going to knock on wood the entire time I type this out.....I have never taken a spill on a bike. Even the nasty muffler burns are gone now. Maybe I shouldn't have said that, and yes, I would take a longer healing period also, but there it is. I'll use Nightwatch's good wishes and go with it. I'm picking it up today.
